It will sometimes cause this issue, and it right there in front. Connect/Relocate a knock sensor to get rid of code 34. Just buy a new knock sub-harness for $20 and a knock sensor from Bernie and getrdone. Other things, wiring harness/connector corrosion - MAF connector, PTU connectors, CAS connector, less so - coil pack and injector plugs - look for green/crappy pins and sockets. Consider getting rid of your PTU sub-harness or re-locating the PTU away from the heat. If you can't remember when you last did a fuel filter or plugs, change them. They are likely not your problem though. FPR and Damper are maintenance items if you haven't ever changed them, they only last 15-20 years. Sticking wastegates will not be your issue here, it's likely engine management, and intermittent usually means a failing component or harness/connector corrosion. Checking out the harness plugs is the cheap/easy thing to do first. Hardly any cost, all it takes is time.
